The challenge
Ferrotech approached us to improve the management of its equipment fleet and optimize its operations. The goal was to gain a clear overview of available stock, limit immobilization costs, and simplify equipment tracking.
They also wanted to automate the maintenance process to reduce downtime and extend the service life of their cranes. Finally, having a real-time overview of rented machines and equipment movements between storage areas enabled them to better anticipate needs, adjust replenishment, and maximize equipment utilization.
The needs identified by Ferro Tech before Charlie was implemented:
Geolocation
Locate all of their equipment
Planning
Allocate equipment based on operations
Anticipation
Manage regulatory control of their equipment
Responsiveness
Act quickly according to the needs on the ground
Results with the Charlie solution
- Increased responsiveness in the field when urgent equipment is needed
- Comprehensive and detailed overview of their entire equipment fleet
- Reduction in forgotten and lost equipment in the field
- A compliant equipment fleet with regulatory control tracking and access to documents in the field
- Significant time savings for equipment fleet managers
